Installation Guide¶
Prerequisites¶
Before starting, ensure your system has the following software installed:
- Node.js 18.0+ or Bun 1.0+
- Git 2.0+
- Python 3.8+ (for documentation build)
Installation Steps¶
1. Clone Repository¶
git clone https://github.com/your-username/open-claude-code.git
cd open-claude-code
2. Install Dependencies¶
Using Bun (recommended):
bun install
Or using npm:
npm install
3. Configure Environment Variables¶
Create a .env file and configure necessary environment variables:
cp .env.example .env
Edit the .env file and add the following configuration:

ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://api.anthropic.com
# MiniMax Configuration (Optional)
ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL=https://api.minimaxi.chat/v1

4. Verify Installation¶
bun run cli --version
If it successfully outputs the version number, installation is complete.

bun cache clean
# Reinstall dependencies
